Time Flies

I just can't believe that it has been 1 whole year!  My little boy is all grown up and i know the next few years will go by even faster!  It makes me a little heart sick..... a bittersweet joy.  You want them to grow and be strong and gain independence, but then before you know it the precious moments are gone, and a new phase of their life emerges.  I want to continue to savor all the moments, even as they change with every year.
Little boy blue, sure did love his buttercream icing covered pancake for breakfast!  We weren't sure if he'd go for it, but yum yum yum he ate it all up!

Tried to eat the candle too!
Drunk with sugar & butter!
Our best present ever! our Christmas baby!! Merry Christmas to all!

almost #1 (always Number 1 almost a year old)

We are still having issues with the camera, so here is a "dark" video of Lex playing this morning. (I know y'all needed a Lex fix, even if you can barley see it)
He has so much fun just talking and walking and playing with his toys.  He just discovered this truck & it's one of the favourites!  It makes noises and he just loves pushing the button and watching the flashing lights.  Yesterday he was quite the "Curious George".  From throwing his toys in the trash, to climbing in the kitchen drawer, to climbing up on to the dinning room chair and getting stuck, he was very busy.

Today he had a play date with a new friend Sheehan.  They are 3 months apart, and were both very interested in each other.  It was great for both of us to have friends to talk to.

I've been busy getting the house ready for Christmas & Mr. Lex's birthday party on Saturday. He is having friends and family over for cake and ice cream.  We are so excited to celebrate his first whole year.  It is truly amazing what can take place in one year.  We have come so far, each of us learning so much about the other, and now I can't imagine life with out him.  Praise be to God! for such a special gift.  Merry Christmas!

Another Week Gone By

Is it sunday again already?  The time flies when you're having fun and following around an 8 month old!  Can you believe it? He is already so big, I can't imagine him growing more but day by day I see it.  Lex is busy pulling up on everything, and taking risks, walking from the couch to the coffee table with one hand.  Judson is doing well at work, even though it's slow and unsteady ground in the banking world, I think he's ready for sports season to start.  I've been busy cleaning the house from top to bottom.  We got a few new pieces of furniture and I've had to get rid of some things and that turned into a 3 week project.  I'm also working on a huge garage sale benefit at my dance studio, so between that cleaning, watching Lex, and having company, I stay on my toes!  Today we don't have anything going on, and Judson let me sleep in, so I feel like a new person.  Here comes the next week!

Our 8 month photo shoot, he was having a hard time sitting still.
My new dinning room set, off white china and dinning room table and chairs.  I love love love them!

Oops! Someone found the tub of water in the back yard!  Fun!  Lex knows how to relax through the summer, get wet!

Pratt County Fair

We just got home from a trip to Pratt and Wichita to visit Judson's mom and family and we are pooped!  The boys are asleep already and me and kitty are up doing laundry and watching tv.  Judson's cousin got married yesterday in Wichita, so we made a long weekend of it and visited friends and family.  Lex was great in the car and on the whole trip.  He got to do so many firsts.  First wedding, first big boy pool, first hotel, first kiss! :)

Squished baby!

Lex & Maylee.  We stopped by Abbyville to visit Josh & Devon and Maylee Dellenbach.  Maylee is 1yr old and walking wonderfully, but she kept Lex just out of reach and held tight to her mommy.  Lex was so interested in figuring Maylee out, he went through all her toys and loved just playing with her.  She kept close to mommy and daddy and her baby doll.

Walking down memory lane!  Friday night Judson took me to the Pratt county fair to see the sights and remember childhood.

The Zipper! Judson and I had such fun walking through the fair and carnival.  Judson bought me a funnel cake and we ate it together, so yummy!  Brought back so many memories, but we didn't remember it being so dirty and the rides a little rickety!  (we didn't ride any)

Oink Oink!  Here are the pigs at the fair, I am sure that this ones name is wilbur!  We knew that Lex would have loved seeing all the farm animals, but he was too sleepy, maybe next year.

The funny goats!  This one really wanted to get out!
These were the 1st place grand prize winners.

Pratt pool here we come!

Judson and Lex at the Pratt pool where Judson used to be a lifeguard.  Lex just loves swimming!  He would have stayed there all day.

At cousin Julie's wedding!  Family photo before Lex turned into a pumpkin.  He did so well, then everything got a little overwhelming for him.  We loved seeing the family, but I took the baby home and called it an early night.  phew what a weekend! so much fun.
